In my short (one year) Ambassador ownership I have made two
observations which I need confirmation (or at least moral support) on:
First, Most of the (many) noises that come from the engine, as in noises
that sound like valve chatter, piston slap, pinging, clutch throw-out
bearing, rod bearing and transmission gear whine can be ignored (once your
used to them and they don't change radically) for the most part. These
noises are all audible trolling around town at low speeds.
Second, The bike does not like trolling around town as all the above noises
go away and the bike transforms itself into a smooth mile eating machine at
between 75-80 on the highway. It reeaalllly likes anything over 70 ;-).
In conclusion it's just best to ride the (fill in the blank with your own
choice of words) off/out of it
Am I on base here?
;-)
