If you pull the rear tire and swing arm assembly can't you get to the back
of the tranny that way?
I guess the only problem would be getting the old bearing out.
Good luck....Ian

Sorry I neglected to specify that it is an Ambo 4 speed tranny. This deep |
to the project, it seems everyone is supposed to know what I am doing (lol) Moto has the update kit. And I could go that route. But at thispoint the whole bike is assembled and just needs wiring, one carb rebuilt and the |
painted. Disassembling the bike is disouraging to say the least. But if it has to be done...then it has to be done. I just want to see about options first. Of course I am under the impression that I can just remove the clutch arm and put a new bearing in (al la BMW) or am I missing something here? BTW has anyone tried using a BMW thrust bearing? (I am operating on foggy mental recollection here) It seems to be a similar size. I'm asking before |
get out the calipers and disappoint myself. |
