Although I didn't use the Kreem brand (I used the Eastwood kit...probably
the same stuff) I managed to get my tank dry in 2 days. I made an adaptor
to hook an air compresor to my petcocks and run air thru the tank. Turn the
pressure down to 5 psi or so and t works great. You gotta listen to an air
compresor run all night, but it was worth it to be riding again quickly.

You can buy a whole gallon of it at a swimming pool supply place for about $5. Always put the acid in first and add the water second (or is it the other way around?). Either way, wear goggles, rubber gloves and make someone else do it while you watch from 30 yards away. I did a set of '65 Harley tanks last year. I had to wait a full week before the final Kreem coat was dry. The only problem I've found so far is that if you need to repair the tank later, you can't weld or braize on the outside of it without the heat screwing up the Kreem on the inside. You are better off to use industrial strength JB Weld type of epoxy on the outside for any leaks you missed and hope for the best. I'm still hoping, but my bike still smells like gasoline. Then again, so do I. Cheers, Dave tf-@gte.net wrote:
