All right experts, just so I am not missing something here. Left
cylinder at TDC, arrow on cover lines up with the 1rst, leftmost, mark on
pully. Pretty simple. The only time it should get a little complicated is if
you pull the timing gears (or chain) off. Or am I missing something here?

About the timing marks...
Been there, done that...I took my pulley off and (later)spun the
engine
(duh?????) throwing the marks off. My bike seems to run good, so I
try to
leave a good thing alone and haven't checked the timing at all.
Will have
to figure out the timing marks one day tho'....shouldn't be too
hard.
I'm getting ready to change my front cover gasket and tighten the
ol' timing
chain tensioner so I'll try to fix it then.
