That part is for floorboar tyupe shifters. Won't work with footpegs.

Bruce,

Not sure if I'm thinking of the right part, but I have seen a new
bushing for auction on e-bay quite a few times that claims to take away
this slop. It is a cylinder shaped bushing that fits into the center of
the shifter where it mounts up to the linkage arm (between the "heel"
and "toe" lever). Usually sell for $15-$20. Think David Otis may have
picked one up?

Good Luck,

While putting the cylinders back together this weekend on the Eldo, I
found myself inspecting the heel 'n toe shifter mechanism. I was
wondering about is the slop in the linkage mechanism (I did find a loose
clamp bolt but tightening it up didn't reduce the play). I have about
.5" (12.7 mm) of play out at the end of the shifter arm. I noticed that
most of it comes from the connection of the vertical linkage to the
short arm off the shaft from the tranny. Is this slop typical?
