Thanks for all of the inputs on the back firing. I have been messing with
the timing also but had it marked where it started and ran with out
backfire. Anyway I am going to check the carb again... and the points this
weekend. Ian I bought me some side covers for my bike and a couple of those
INI filters. I have been on 12 hour shifts this week so I haven't been able
to play with the bike. Oh yeh suppose to be 68 this week end. :-)

Hi Pete, I have K&N's and did not change the jets. She seems to run ok with the |
tan coloured. If your plugs are black be sure that the bike is fully warmed up and that you have run the bike on the highway a while before making the assessment. Also be sure that the choke cable is slack when the choke is "off".
