One way to do this is to get a 1000cc block and put the 850 crank into
it. The stroke is the same. This way you can still run your generator.
You have to use the 850 timing cover, becouse it is an engine mount, and
drill and tap the bosses on the top of the block to mount the generator
brace.

Then you use 1000cc top end stuff. This way, you don't have to worry
about new sleeves coming loose or having the 850cylinder walls wear thru
due to the drilling you need to do to accomodate the pushrods new
position.( I know there is a problem in this area when you punch out 850
jugs, but I may be wrong as to the pushrod position part)(Cheese, care
to elaborate?)

This is what I am going to do. I have a complete 1000cc top end and a
disassembled 850 motor, I just need a case.
