Ian Adkins is right about oil pressure issue maybe being the switch, they do fail fairly often. However in my experience they usually just stick with lamp on all the time or flicker constantly. Check this first.
Just because oil pump is constantly driven gears is no guarantee of good pressure though. Low pressure is usually caused by worn mains/big ends.

I liked the schematic and plan on wiring my bike with the relays--there's a place on the net you can get 'em real cheap.
I'm kind of worried about the oil pressure....
