I agree with Mark. I installed a "brand name" Electronic ignition on my 81
CX100, it ran great for a couple years, then started having weird problems,
like firing on one cylinder at odd times. After reinstalling the points Ive
had no problems whatsoever. I think they are more trouble than they are
worth. At least you can fix the problem with a spare set of points.
