ie; new jugs? sleeved? etc?

Hello everyone, I have a problem with my 69 Ambassador that someone may be able to help me on. It has recently been overhauled and runs beautifully. I have put a few hundred miles on it since then. It would be safe to say that I havent ridden it for more than 20 minutes at one time with no problems. I was out riding the other day for maybe twice that long, ran great, came home and it died in the driveway and would not restart. I let it sit a couple minutes and it popped right off. It would then run real nice, and then die after a few seconds and once again, would not restart. I flipped the gascap up to make sure that wasnt the problem. Does this sound like a bad coil? Does anyone have a spare they would sell??
