Greetings all,
I'm a newbie to this list, referred by Tom Halchuk (thanks Tom!).
My loop is a 1973 El Dorado with 38K original miles and a bit of
history.
My dad bought this bike in 74/75 from the original owner, sold it due to
financial reasons around 8-9 years later, and bought it back from the
guy he sold it to about 5 years after that, in the mid-eighties. He
passed away in 1995, and my mom decided to give the Eldo to my brother.
He and I both knew that I should have gotten the bike, but who's going
to argue with their mom when their dad has just passed??
Anyway, my bro shipped it to his home in CA., to live with his dirt
bikes (3 of them!). After a couple of years he did an almost full
restore, short of taking the motor out of the frame. Then he bought a
Yamaha Roadstar for the street.
Last spring he called me and told me he was giving the Guzzi back to me
as I should have had it in the first place!! What a gift!!!!
Anyway, I'm glad to be here, and if I can find someone to do the clutch
over anywhere near central MA (because I'm a CRAPPY) mechanic, I'll hope
to see some of you people on the road by next spring.
Oh, and if someone can fill me in on how to post a pic here, I'd be
happy too.
