Ray,

Could it be the washer that goes under the nut for the axle perhaps. The
washer is flat on one side and rounded on the other and about 1/8 thick.
Send the pics to me.

Paul

Ok, I finally got some pics of this part. I have three small jpegs (about
40kb each) that I can email to anyone willing to have a look. I can't place
them on my website from the house so have to operate this way. I'm
reasonably sure it came from the rear axle. It is the correct ID. One side
is flat, the other slightly rounded and it is approx 1/8"thick. I vaguely
remember a similar spacer on the left side of the axle on my G5. The Eldo
parts book shows a spacer or washer on the left side of the axle but isn't
detailed enough to show the extra thick and rounded shape. Oh ya, this is a
'73 Eldo, drum brake.
If you recognize it please also tell me proper placement. Thanks a bunch.
Send me your email address and I'll attach to a reply.
