It's a lot easier if you take the engine out (unless you have a
special tool or extra transmission input gear to line up the
plates) but certainly doable either way. I don't think its much
more difficult to do it one way over the other personally,
except if you take the engine out you will almost certainly need
some help as its pretty damn heavy.
Ask Gordon at MG Cycles about clutch plates, he'll recommend
something.

It is a bit concise and vauge at points. I just want to spare having to do too much extra work. Bonded or rivited clutch plates? |
