A wild guess:
Could be that your clutch spline gear is won and the clutch is hanging up.
My T3 did something similar.

Around town everything works fine. But if I get out on the highway and wind her up, the clutch plates seem to start slipping a bit. Especially if I get directly on the highway. Then as the bike warms up, it goes away. I've never really noticed this before. I have all the adjustments set right on the outside. Just wondering if this is something to be concerned about. A clutch replacement is not in the cards at the moment. Is there something that I am overlooking? I really cant miss this trip.
