Had to replace the front tire so I decided to grease the head stock
bearings. I have stripped down the front end and ready to remove the
front forks as a complete assembly, is this possible? My plan is to
remove the two spanner type nuts on the top of the stem and drop
everything down and then out, is this possible? Do I have to remove the
large nut on the bottom of the stem to get to the bearings? Does
everything just slide out the bottom? I have the factory manual but no
really good info on what happens next. No leaks on the shocks so I'm
going to just replace the oil. I'm considering a single weight motor
oil, 40wt(detergent or non-detergent) or should I stick with fork oil
only?
