That was the exact problem I had and was trying say in my post. Hope my
new one doesn't do it again - perhaps MG got a bad lot of sensors?

GOOD NEWS, friends! The leak at my oil pressure sensor
is not a crack in the casting, it is the new oil
pressure sensor! To me that's great news. Thank you to
everyone who replied to my posts. I removed the tank
in order to be able to see the sensor from all sides,
cleaned the area real well, and dusted it with talc.
Then, without the boot on the sensor, I hooked the
tank to the carbs using a real long piece of fuel
line, started the engine, and shined my 18v flashlight
on the offending area. As revs picked up oil quickly
oozed out of the part of the sensor where the metal is
crimped to the plastic (Bakelite?). Hurray! So I shut
it off, screwed the old sensor back in, and ran the
same test. The old one leaks, too, but much less then
the new one, so while I am waiting for MG to send me a
free replacement for the new one I will ride with the
old.

Praise the Lord for small favors!
