Somehow I think he will be taking this bike to his friend for the
restoration, his friend directly across the street, that would be....
ME!!

Cam,

Don't forget I came from Beemer land having owned 5 over the past 15
years. Still got sources of supply and top names for paintwork, but as
Mark E says, you gotta call me at the shop, I mean, at home.......

Incidentally, this is the Beemer I was looking at prior to finding the
70 Ambo. The Ambo was a frame on restoration, this Beemer is a
nightmare, needs a total frame off restoration, but it will be a fun
project for Cam (and I'm sure I will be lending a helping hand). These
old R75/5's are amongst the best boxers ever made. Should be a fun ride
when she's done.

So Cam, are you doing the work? Is your friend? Taking it to someone?
Just curious, is all.

I've just struck a "business deal" with a longtime friend that has a
Beemer R 75/5 that's been in his shed for the last 10+ years wasting
away. It'll take a total resto and a year or two, but what the hell. My
question is What is the Beemer equivilant of MG Cycle/Classics for BMW
parts? Local guys that specialize in the NJ area? Any help would be
appreciated such as webs sites, moral support, etc. Aren't they very
similar to the loops?
