I asked about that. You need some really nasty chemicals for that one.
In fact, the generator covers, battery covers and toolboxes off of my V7
are at the chromer getting the chrome removed as we speak. Previous
owner had chromed them in the '70s and they started getting rust under
the chrome. I'm going to paint the boxes and gen. covers silver and the
battery cover black. I'm riding around right now with a bungie cord
holding the battery in place.
