Well, the bike sounds fine. Clearly, it's all YOUR fault.
(just kidding)
I'll look at a swingarm tonight and see where those holes should be
positioned.

I weigh 180 pounds, so the length of shocks and my weight should not be the issue. I used Castrol 80/90W gear oil. I have Penzoil now, same 80/90W weight. Greg, I did see the small notches on the pinion carrier (they face the rear drive and are very small). Where should these be positioned? I'm thinking the top right bolt and bottom left bolt when installing into the rear drive (as if the rear drive was installed on the bike), same place the flat spots should have been if I had that type of drive. This pinion fits pretty snug, I had to tap it out of the rear drive gently and will have to tap it back in gently. Swingarm definitely does not have the notches, I felt all around and it is a perfect circle. Parts and swingarm tool just arrived from MG, so I can continue working. This is my first time pulling a swingarm, so wish me luck and feel free to give me advice. Keith Ruff 70 Cafe Racer Ambo Manahawkin, NJ peha-@comcast.net wrote:
