Subject: RE: oil dip stick- motor rebuild

I finally dropped the oil pan and found small particle of
chrome, DAMN!! Pulled the cyliders, left had a very small area
about the size of a dime missing chrome, the right side had about
1/2" missing for about 3/4 of the way around the cylinder. I
ordered all parts

Yikes!!!!

How's the front and rear main bearings?
How'd the oil pump look?
How about the cam saddles?

Been there, done that, got the scared parts to prove it.
