I'd bet dollars to a donut that the bolt pattern is identical
between a Loop & Tonti sump. You know where this is leading you -
towards the modification of your lube system to take a late 850T/T3 sump
& filter assembly, as per Guzziology. Then you could fit a Tonti sump
extender. You're just the man for this mod! Go ahead, Get R Done!
What might be easier is to find a T3 (or LeMans!!!)engine to
start building up to replace the Ambo engine. Of course, you'll need a 5
speed, a Ram clutch, and a disc brake front end to slow that puppy down.
Speaking of Swapmeet Friday, I'd like to scare up a 1000cc
Tonti core to build up, a runner, or a wrecked bike. I've got stuff to
trade (4 speeds, a v700 basket, some Tonti bits).
