I started with a little slit made by a hacksaw and fished the washer
out. Then I began to wonder how I was going to be certain that I got all
of the little bits of steel hacksaw cuttings out of the inside. I rinsed
it a couple times but curiosity got the best of me and I cut it wide
open!

Weld it up, a little bondo/JB Weld, paint it and stick it back on! Next
time just cut a slit in the side and jiggled the flap out.
