Hi Ted,
I believe all of the civilian Eldos came with turn signals...but I could
be wrong on this one. The civilian v700 and Ambos, on the other hand,
did not come with turn signals. Again, I could be wrong on this one.
Guzzi did make a kit available, though, to add them. As with all things
loop, I'm sure there was some overlap somewhere along the way. As for
the front mounting brackets, MG Cycle also has the brackets.

As for the Lucas turn signals, you can get replicas from MG Cycle and
other places. They were used on a lot of british bikes, too. But, the
originals are becoming harder to find and the replicas aren't as well
made as the originals were (plastic vs metal, etc). If you go this
route, be sure to check my website for the modifications I made to mine
to make them work much better.
The Lucas fender reflectors are becoming very hard to find and are not
cheap when you do find them. There are actually two styles that were
used on the loops, one style has a very narrow chrome lip while the
other style has a thick chrome lip. I believe the thick were used on the
earlier models while the thin were used on the later. Both had
protective round rubber pieces that fit between the reflector and the
fender.
Here is a link to a photo showing both:

The thick chrome lip is much more desireable than the thin...and is
priced accordingly. Best to watch ebay or open the wallet a little wider
and call Mark or Moe.
I suppose you could go the very cheap route and purchase some adhesive
round reflectors at your local parts store. But, personally, I'd just
leave the holes there until I got exactly what I wanted.

I have a civilian Eldorado with no fairing, there seems to be no shortage of rear turn signal mounting brackets for an Eldorado, but how should front turn signals be mounted? Did this bike originally have turn signals? Also anyone know where I can find fender reflectors to fill the holes in my fenders? |
