I'm curious and ignorant. My bike has new cables from the PO and he told me
that the front cable did not activate the brake light. So I am assuming an
after market cable of some type with no switch. I would think that having
the brake activate the brake light is important. Maybe I'm wrong? I see
that MG Cycle has replacement cables with a switch. Is this what I would
want or is there another work around.
Thanks.

Today I received my cables from Barnett (Thanks to Joe Jump!) and they are excellent both in appearance and function. Once installed and adjusted on the '72 Ambo project bike, the lever is firm and the fit perfect. The inner cable is the same diameter as the original off of my '69, but the outer housing and ends are actually smaller diameter lending a less bulky look. The adjuster and ends appear to be stainless. Should note that these do not have a brake light switch and I'm not sure if Barnett can do one with it. Cost was $36 each + shipping.
