A new question surfaced with the 1100 Sport clutch installation into
Junkyard, but I think it won't be a problem. The Sport clutch has 10
springs; the 850T clutch has 8. I was worried that the added springs
would require a gorrila grip to pull in the lever. Saturday I did a
quick slap-together to check this out. Happy to say it shouldn't be a
problem. It's not a foo-foo pull, but it doesn't seem much more than
normal if at all noticeable. Went ahead & bolted up the starter &
battery to check out their opration with the new narrower ring gear and
all seems well. Took it all apart again, lock-tighted & torqued
everything down, lubed the splines with the red BMW spline grease. Now
it's good to go! Pushrod seals come in the mail today; Tranny installed
tonight, along with swingarm, shocks, battery tray, and tool boxes.
Should have the job finished up the following evening.

PS. I wouldn't consider engine braking a down side - I'll take all the
brakes I can get!
