Subject: Removing output shaft seal

Finished troubleshooting/shimming the tranny ('74 Disk
Eldo Police 5 speed) and am doing final assembly, so I'm
replacing seals. Can't seem to get the rear output shaft
seal out, although I did find the hidden spring in the
channel when I ripped the underside rubber trying to
remove it - oops. The replacement (blue) seems to have a
softer "rim" than the one in the tranny. Any tips?
