John Ulrich - I'm looking close at what you did in the pix of the
link you sent, but I don't see the shifter arm/clutch cable. Is
your arm/cable on the same side of this linkage

Yes it is, I did not have the cable hooked up at the time of the photo.

how did you make this reverse pattern linkage fit without getting in the
way of the clutch arm?

When you flip the shift lever around from the right side (3:00) of the
trans to the left side (9:30ish) the offset does keep it out of the way
of the clutch lever when everythings hooked up.

The factory linkage ends are a 7MM. I found 7mm bolts at a well stocked
auto supply store to get the threaded shafts I'd need. I took a piece
of metal stock (1 3/4"x7/16"x7/16")you can buy at a hardware store for
$0.75, and drilled and tapped it on a 45 degree angle on each end to get
the look you see in the photo.
I'm kinda of a glutton on the small stuff.
Send me your email address and I can attach some photo's of my
convoluted prototypes!

Easier way is Greg's Heim joint solution.

Where did you get this reverse pattern linkage?

Stephen Benton makes them. He used to have a web site, he checks in on
this site. Try a search for his name in the archives or I believe Greg
has it.
