Hi Tom,
I bought a pair of item no. 1863A23 from McMaster-Carr that looked like
they would work well. Upon closer inspection, it looks like I'll need to
make a block for under the hook part where it attaches to the saddlebag
lid. It sets about 1/4" too low for the latch to grab. The original
latches have sort of a "double hinge" action to them that the ones from
McM lack. Cheers,
