Hi,Iam thinking about putting a solo seat on my Eldo.Has anyone on the list used a solo seat? Are they any good for a long ride?I see that several shops offer a solo seat.Is any one better than the others? Thank you for any input on seats. Don 73 Eldo |

I've tried two of them on my '75 Eldo. One was a Harley leather solo
saddle; I made up some brackets so that it would sit in a position that
was right for arms and legs on the footboard- and police bar-equipped
bike. That didn't last long; it was too hard and uncomfortable.
I'm now using the stock sprung solo saddle, the big fat police style.
It's real comfortable, holds off the "butt burn" for a long time, but it
sits awfully high for a taller (6'2") guy. Good for the bend in the
legs, but the windshield has to mount real tall; if not, you're really
up in the wind. It works out good on long trips though.
