I hate to disagree, but I find it quite the opposite, I like the cruising posture of sitting more upright, and the wider seat more comfortable, but
each of us has his own style and each are built different.

I think the big thing that I found with my solo seat was that the seat was wide enough to support the butt cheeks. With the narrower dual seat there is a tendency for the hips to want to go (spread) outwards and that made my butt hurt.
As for the riding position...I find that no one position is good for a long period of time...moving to different positions helps take the strain away from one particular area.
