Mine failed at base of the short/vertical leg, near
the 90 degree bend. Don't know if this typical.

Hi,
I remember a thread a while back concerning failure of the police side
stands. I never got a distinct idea of where that weak point was. Any
chance some of you (I seem to recall 3 or 4 people reporting the same
problem) could describe or photograph the exact point of failure? I'd
like to strengthen that weld before installation.
