Also, a car cannot have any rust holes through to the
passanger compartment. My type 2 had rust all over,
and the type 3 engine doner was so bad that I paid
only $10 with just 50,000 miles on the injected motor.
I really liked that type 3 - it was a great design for
its day.
The two times that I have been pulled over on a
motorcycle, the police officer walked right passed me
and looked at the inspection sticker on the front
fork. Both times it was the first thing they did! I
guess they catch a lot of bikes without inspection
stickers. Motorcycle inspection is easy, though:
lights, horn, and tread depth is about all they check.
(I hope the rear tire on my Ambo can pass one more
inspection. I put so few miles on it these days that I
would rather not buy a new tire until I really ahve
to, but it is looking a bit thin.)
