Hi Ron,
Early V700s had pinstriping around the chrome panels only, but later on
they had a bit more pinstriping. Mostly just a double line under the
"Moto Guzzi" with eagle on each side and a rectangular area on top. If
you don't already have it, pick up a copy of Greg Field's excellent book
"Moto Guzzi Big Twins". There's a lot of material on the changes Loops
went through over the course of production. Cheers,

It pretty obvious from all the pictures aboud that the early bikes had slightly different (smaller) tanks...I've also noticed that the pinstriping didn't seem to come along until 1969. The stock early tanks just seemed to have an eagle and the chrome knee pads, unless they were redone....Am I imagining this or is this true? RON |
