MessageShould be fine. The seals you used were probably the newer materials as opposed to original 30 yr old.
BUT new seals are cheap insurance.

How long is it safe to leave new seals in before part is put into operation. Reason being is I rebuilt my other 5 speed at least 2 1/2 years ago and it's been sitting on the shelf since. I'm ready to rebuild my projects rear drive and don't want to waste the seals either.
