No they were soldered and then crimped in the connectors. If done right, you
shouldn't crack the solder. If you do, then you have entirely too much
solder on the wire or you are using the wrong solder.

I hope you meant crimped and then soldered as the secondary crimping
would likely crack and release the primary soldering.
