Somebody wouldn't have some ballpark specs for this spring, would they? ;-)
I would imagine it doesn't need to be an exact replacement, just take up
some play in the end.

The order it shows is: fiber washer, tab washer (w/tabs towards the end cap), washer (your shims?), spring. From what I remember that's the assembly order in the few I've had apart as well.
