Hi,
I'm going through a new to me bike and I need some help
figuring out what I've got here. Its titled as a 1974
Edorado. The previous owner thought it was an LAPD model.
The following information is stamped on the steering head ID
plate:
Build Date: Oct 1973
Model Year: 1974
Engine No: 060691
Frame No: 060691
The number stamped on the engine case, just forward of the
oil dipstick, is: VC * 093878 *
This motor has an alternator cover (round) rather than a
generator cover. Carbs are VHB30
The bike has a single front disk brake on the right. The
left fork slider has mounts for a caliper.
Does it sound like I have a later model motor in the bike?
What else should I look at to ID the motor? Whats the story
with the left fork slider - is it likely to be stock, did it
have a dual disk setup at one time, did it come from the
factory that way (with mounts but not caliper)? Thanks.
