Called MGCYCLE yesterday. Very helpful and knowledgeable. They also
recommended that I do both sides. So with a little help from visa I should
see the parts by this week end. They have a kit for this problem. Suppose to
include every I need down to the o-rings. Thanks again for introducing me to
these great folks in Wis. Mike Denver

Thanks Greg! That's what I needed to know. Did the oil thing and yes the
compression went up. So I went the next step and took a look inside.
That's
when I cleaned up and went to watch football. The groove will catch your
finger nail, it's not pretty. So I need to order a new jug and piston with
rings for just the one side. The other side doesn't need to be messed
with,
right? I do still have the chrome jugs and I assume that you want to have
the same on both sides to keep the heat the same. Thanks again going to
contact mgcycle. Mike Denver

Buy both sides. You'll be better off in the long run (and perhaps the short
run).

Jim
