I worry about the stainless axles since off the shelf s.s. hardware is
only about Grade 2. Stock axles probably are just mild steel, but I'd
like to see a comparison of tensile strength. There are places (such as
the brake stay rod and fork pinch bolts) on my project that I'm using
hardened stainless - A4-80 has 80,000 lb. tensile strength vs. A2-70
w/70,000 lbs. Better safe than sorry in my opinion. Only place I've
found the hardened s.s. so far is Totally Stainless.

EPCO is making a set of stainless headpipes for my project bike with the
Loop curve, but with flanges for the later engines (I'm using a Convert
engine). Needed a set anyway for this ever expanding project, so decided
to have a set made with the correct sized flanges. Cheers,

Yep, Fred, they sure do. They also have stainless axles. Just give 'em a

call (937) 855-3300.

I believe Epco stainless makes them. I got a set at Mid-Ohio this July.
