Hi Ted,
I've heard that they are serviceable, and was hoping I could salvage a
couple I bought on eBay for cheap (I mostly wanted the starter button
mount, which my Ambo lacked at the time). But, I pretty much destroyed
one trying to get it apart. Perhaps someone here knows how it can be
done, but for $14.75 at MG Cycle, I should have spent my time doing
other things.

Is an Eldorado starter button serviceable? (is there anyway to get into it and clean the contacts) Mine has intermittent contact, but it appears to be a solid item. I can't imagine the manufactured a pushbutton as a solid piece. Ted |
