Tom
As I remember, an old timer in the M/G business named Sonny Angel made some
sandcast aluminum single manifolds at his shop in San Diego in the early
70's. I think that he mainly used Mikuni carbs, but somebody may substituted
another carb or two.

Sonny did a lot of racing on the salt flats and a few of his tricks seemed
to hit the streets.
His shop bike was a ratty old T model that went like heck, and was very
smooth in the process.
As of 2 yrs ago, he was still in business with his son Don.

I think the business has been open about 50 yrs now, in the same small
location.
If any one gets out that way, its worth a stop just for the BS session.

Hi all,

Well, I was scrounging around some parts yesterday, and the guy says,
"Hey, you might be interested in this". He goes into a shed and comes
out with a carb and a manifold. I say, What's that for?" He says,"It
came off an Ambo I bought a few years ago. It worked really well. It was
very fast".

What it is, is a VW 36mm Solex carb mounted to a custom tube that spans
across and mounts to the Guzzi cylinders. It is a single carb set-up!
The air filter design is VERY Rube Goldberg, as it goes down behind the
unit and sets infront of the battery, but hey, it's neat!

Well, I just had to buy it!! I don't know if I'll use it, but I may
mount it onto a spare engine, just to freak people out!

If I can get a pic, I'll send it to anyone who wants to see it. I'll let
you know when I get it done.
