If you should ever need to remove the cables from the splitter, unscrew
the end caps from the tubular part (a piece of leather or rubber around
the end cap will prevent scarring) with some adjustable pliers or
similar. Then unhook the cables from the slots in the small slide
inside. A bit of lube on the slide during reassembly is a good idea.

Almost forgot, you will also have to remove the choke from the carb. This is just one screw and the plunger will come right out. There is no need to remove the cable from the splitter at all. The splitter I was refering to in my previous post was the one from the petcocks. |
