Ryder magazine was a favorite of mine. Clemente Salvatore was a writer there
and always spoke well of the Guzzis... I met him at a Ryder Rally and really
enjoyed the conversation.
Roberto.
I do not even know if Ryder magazine still sells... All
I read is the Guzzi Newsletter...

I tried Motorcyclist but the writing was just too hip/juvenile for me. They
do occasionally have good articles the others don't (such as the recent one
on Hyosung the Korean bike company).

But I prefer Cycle World for two main reasons - Kevin Cameron (the tech
editor, once on the staff of now defunct Cycle mag) and Peter Egan who
always has great stories to tell and has a taste for European machinery.
Kevin explains things way over my head in a way I can understand. Pete
always makes me either laugh throughout the article or think about it for
the next few days. I agree with Lannis though - lately there has been too
many "cartoon" custom choppers and sportbike comparisons of almost the same
bikes they've already done extensive write-ups on (and when they do have
something in the camparison that interests me <Benelli Tornado> they don't
even show a good picture of it!). They seem to be a little bit more
interested in doing a good, fair test of Italian bikes than the others.
Cycle World is after all the mag that picked the '98 EV over all the other
cruisers at the time. Just my $.02 worth. Cheers,

Charlie

Hi all,

Well my nephew is selling magazine subscriptions for school, and I said
I'd buy one.

His list includes three bike rags:
1)Motorcyclist
2)Motorcycling
3)Cycleworld.

I'm asking this list which you would prefer/recommend as your riding
styles and tastes are more similar to mine than the guys on the other
lists. I'd like to steer clear of sportbike rags.

I'm letting my subscription to Cycle World drop. Too many bright
sportbikes, "kustom kruisers", other things I'm not interested in.
