Hi, Scott. This is what I have done in the past with
good results. First, loosen the throttle cables. Then
adjust the slides on each carb using the big screw on
each carb with a spring on it. Adjust each carb so
taht if you unplug the plug for the other cylinder,
the cylender you are working on will run for about
four firings before stalling. When you have them both
set like that, adjust the cables so that both pull off
idle at the same time. This I do by removing the air
cleaner(s) and putting a chop stick or similar object
under each slide and sticking out the back of the
carb. When you crack the throttle open just a little,
the carb with the least slack in the cable will move
the stick first. Adjust until both move at the same
instant.
Loops are so nice to work on!
