When last on the bike they ran great delivering 40mpg,idle was perfect and they went up thru the rev range to redline 7300 with no hiccups. They are for sale-- $360. Anyone ever put a set of Mikunis on a loop frame? Can't seem to find a pair of Dellortos, keep getting out bid on ebay.
Bob As much as I like the Dellortos, because of cost & availability I put
Mikuni
VM carbs on the loop racer. I bought brand new Mikunis for about half the cost of a used pair of Dellortos. Mike Rich has flow tested the Mikunis & Dellortos, he clams the Mikunis flow 2 cfm more than the same size
Dellortos. Most VM
Mikunis you find new are sold for 2 stroke applications, so you will have
to
re-jet them. Let me know if you decide to go this route, I can probably
get
you in the ball park on jetting. Ken Asheville, NC
