Hi Noel,
MG Cycle sells a complete stock sidestand (minus spring) or you could
probably find one used - but it will still be the same less than optimum
unit.
I thought Harpers used to sell an extended one with a larger foot that
looked like it would work better, but I don't see it on their website
now.
You could have the police sidestand bracket welded on or find a left
lower frame rail from a model that already has the bracket and remove
any other mounts you may not want. Or buy a whole setup and go
floorboards with the police 'stand!
I have a Windjammer II (I think) body in fair condition for free if you
want it. There's no headlight, signals, markers or windscreen and
there's some damage that has been repaired. You can probably find a
nicer one for cheap (probably best to find it within driving distance
since it'll cost a mint to have shipped) pretty easily though. Cheers,
