Agreed, although I have never had a problem with the bracket.
What I am interested in is the alternator's ability to hold the regulator
inside the body itself. I am planning to rewire my Police Project bike to
accomodate this. Old regulator bracket will be a relay/fuse spot. My idea is
to get away from the bulk of the current running through the ignition
switch. Idea is to run small dc wires from switches to relays. Should clean
the top end up and allow my to "rework" the snuff box control switch.
I remember seeing a great job on one done by Gary Cheek (or was it Tom
Bowes). Amazed me to see the inginuity done.
By the way Fred....saw your bike at the Mid Ohio....never saw you. Sorry to
have missed you.
I am more interested in the smaller, lighter alternator's ability to prevent breaking its mount than in the increased output. What does the alternator bracket attach to on the block? Thanks Greg Field wrote:
