Subject: bolt size questions

Hi,

Does anyone know what the bolt size/thread count for the two finger
knob/bolts that hold the sidecovers on?
What about the studs that the shocks mount on? Moto International
says they are very hard to get, so I'm
thinking a high quality threaded rod or something might be a decent
replacement.

this is for a '70 ambo if that matters.
