Bill,
The bezel is a real pain in the ass, i think there were a few on the list
that have removed it sucessfully. I don't know how.
As for repair shops there have been a couple mentioned on the list.
1)http://www.gaugeguys.com/repair.htm
2)http://http://www.bobsspeedometer.com/bobs/
3)Palo Alto Speedometer( I don't know the website, number, ect.)

My Veglia tach has stopped moving.
Questions:
1. Is it easy to get inside there or do you have to fight your
way in past the bezel?
2. Failing 1) above, is there a recommended repair shop or
source of used/rebuilt tachometers?
Thanks,
