This is still a non-oil-filter lower end? I assume you would add the spacer but keep the oil at the same level in relation to the pickup? |
THere are a few of these wandering around. In the late 70's or early
80's there was a guy in LA who produced a spacer kit which included a
separate spacer for the oil pickup. Thus, your oil level now was lower
and your crankcase air volume was larger. Helps to reduce the "pumping"
action to keep seals and gaskets better.
I have a friend here who has a 74 (timing chain) Eldo with the same kit
in place.
I had one of these on my '73 Eldo. Sold it to GF who sold it elsewhere.
Don't know where it is right now.
